Steps

Open Daily SaleFrom Home / quick add, open Daily Sale (night Z).

Business dateUse the store business date (night shift may still be “today” until you close).

Gross salesEnter the register Z / grand total — the number on the Z tape.

Card batch (optional)Enter credit card batch if you have it from the terminal.

Cash sales (optional)Cash can auto = gross − card, or type it if you know it.

SaveSave the entry. That day now has a sale line in your books.

Log one real night Z before you teach staff.
Avoid
Don’t invent a perfect Z. Honest gross beats pretty fiction.
